24" RARE GLASS-EYED PARIAN BOY
Spectacular & rare unmarked
glass-eyed parian boy probably created by
the Kling factory. Captivating & unusual
mold with exquisite modelling of every
sculpted strand of hair & every facial
curve, this boy's face is full of expression
with his wide, brilliant, spiral-threaded
blue glass eyes, full cheeks, & very unique
gently-smiling mouth with parted lips
showing molded teeth! Layers of sculpted
curls and wavy blonde hair fall in thick
profusion around his face, exposing
his ears with a cluster of curls extending
over each ear. Flawless, pure tinted bisque
& softly-blushed cheeks, artful decoration
of lips, lashes, & brows. Slender neck &
deep shoulderplate combine with his features
to give him the appearance of a boy about 10
or 12 years-old. Orig. sturdy & clean,
gusseted kid body with perfect bisque
forearms (few minor, expected kid
patches). Costumed in plum velvet knickers,
black ribbed cotton socks, newer black
lace-up boots, & fantastic early, antique
cream cotton lawn shirt accented with
insertion lace, short boyish collar &
Victorian details, topped by a great antique
tweed woolen overcoat with partial gold
silk lining, caramel wool piping accents &
decorative matching wooden buttons. A
wonderful, rare addition to a collection of
parian & china dolls, he is an outstanding
example! You may

flat-top china of purest white
china with lovely modelling of
features & hairstyle and

include molded & painted black,
flat-top hairstyle with white
center part & rows of stacked,
clustered curls framing her face &
adorning the back of her head
(some minor paint wear to back of
hair as is typical in these chinas
& does not devalue). Nice, deep
shoulderplate measures 5 1/2" tall
by 6" wide, on her wonderful
original, sturdy, clean cloth
body; firmly-stuffed with perfect
leather forearms &
individually-stitched & separated
fingers. Facial painting includes

20 1/2" ALL-ORIGINAL EARLY
ENGLISH POURED WAX BABY
All-original from head-to-toe,this
sweet 1850s-60s English poured wax
baby is a realistic, true-to-size
infant with slightly-turned
shoulderhead, & gentle, pale
colouring. Bright blue,
spiral-threaded glass
eyes lend vibrancy to the dear,
childish face & heavy, molded
lids, beautiful modelling, &
a slightly pouty closed mouth
combine to give this baby a soft,
realistic countenance (there is
some light soiling to the
face which can be cleaned & most
of the orig. individually-inserted
blonde human hair is gone, so I
have included an old skin wig with
this doll). Orig. signed muslin
body with high-quality poured wax
limbs (some minor loss to a few
fingers one hand) in clean, sturdy
condition. Orig. costume
comprises a long antique underslip
& lovely, endlessly long, fine
cotton christening gown with
short, puffed sleeves,
lavishly-ornamented with soutache
trim at the bodice & down the
front of the gown, which was a
popular fashionable trim on many
childrens' garments of the mid
19th-century, esp. in England &
here in America. A
dainty, antique cotton bonnet
frames the face & completes the
ensemble. A very good doll at a
great price; far below book, even
though condition is all-original &
wear to the doll is minor.

24" ALL-ORIGINAL KESTNER
168
A wonderful find with her ornate
costume, lovely face, & totally
originality head-to-toe;
beautifully-preserved! Smooth,
peaches-&-cream bisque with fine
modelling enhancing her beautiful
& expressive face (miniscule white
pindot cheek), cornflower blue
sleep eyes, ptd. lower lashes,
barely-open mouth with 4
square-cut teeth, molded &
feathered brows, plaster pate, &
ash blonde mohair wig. Orig.
jointed comp. signed Kestner body
in the orig. shiny patina in mint
cond. with only the barest minimal
wear to upper shoulder & upper
thigh ball joints. Costume is
particularly appealing & showy, &
consists of a matched set of
lace-trimmed pantaloons &
petticoat, black cotton stockings,
cream oilcloth shoes with laces,
all topped by a crisp, pale peach
organdy confection featuring
starched, ruffled tiers edged with
decorative lace, lace-trimmed
butterfly sleeves & ruffled
bodice. I added the antique
cream lace sash & the antique
peach satin bows that are sewn
onto the upper sleeves at the
shoulders to further embellish her
dress. Completing her ensemble is
a very delicate, handmade cream
lace bonnet with peach satin
ribbon that matches her dress. A
beautiful Kestner in every way,
she has a gentle facial expression
with the open innocence of a
child. Don't miss out on her!;
she is even lovlier in person than
her photos convey. You may click on the picture to

Price $995.

23" KAMMER & REINHARDT 126
"NAUGHTY" BABY WITH FLIRTY EYES
There is something so engaging
about this particular doll that
you discover that you just want to
scoop her into your arms like a
real baby! Lifesize & chubby, she
has the desirable added feature of
a well-working "naughty" eye
mechanism that was patented in
1915 with additional flirty eye
movement. When the head is tilted
to the left & baby laid down her
eyes will not close, but tilt the
head to the right & the eyes will
close in sleep. Bisque is
gorgeous---powdery-smooth with
perfectly-tinted coloring & soft,
peaches-&-cream, chubby cheeks.
Large, lively blue eyes with tin
eyelids, lushly-ptd. lashes,
softly-feathered brows, o/m with
upper teeth & tremble
tongue. Soft, thick blonde wig
with waves. Orig. jtd. comp.
bent-limb baby body has an old
repaint & some flaking to the
finish with some wear but it is
sturdy; stringing is slightly
loose. I considered sending her
for some body work but then
decided to sell her as is, at
a very good price. If the buyer
would like to have the work done I
would be happy to supply the name
of my doll repair person; she does
excellent work. Costume is
wonderful & covers the less than
perfect body finish---the baby
wears an old diaper, long antique
slip, & beautiful, crisp white
lawn antique christening gown with
full, puffed sleeves & pretty,
smocked ruffled collar. A
beautiful antique openwork baby
bonnet with peach insertion ribbon
crowns her head; I added the
antique, matching wide ribbon neck
ties. An exceptionally expressive
face on this always-popular baby,
she is beautifully-dressed
& captivating & offered
for hundreds below her value. You may click on the picture to
