20" ALL-ORIGINAL ENGLISH POURED
WAX BABY
Impeccable, early 1850s English poured
wax baby, attributed to Pierotti, in
totally-original, pristine condition!
Beautiful, realistic, smooth complexion,
wonderfully-detailed modelling includes
beautifully-modelled ears, large
rare brown eyes,
blonde wispy baby hair
individually-inserted into the wax,
chubby, exquisitely-modelled deep
shoulderplate. Orig. exc. cloth body
with detailed lower limbs of poured
wax; even the toes have modelled nails.
Elaborate orig. costume includes layers
& layers of finely-detailed
undergarments, topped by an elaborate
white cotton lawn gown in period
off-the-shoulder fashion, with
row-upon-row of insertion lace,
cartridge-pleated waistband with
vertical bands of insertion lace
ornamenting front of bodice, with 3/4
lace-trimmed sleeves.
A
frothy handmade lace bonnet features
delicate hand-embroidery in a soutache
fashion interspersed with candlewicking.
She must've spent life as a "Sunday"
doll; only brought out to play under
supervision, because she is as pristine
as the day she was made. A joy to own!

22" GLASS-EYED KLING "131" PARIAN
BOY
A
very scarce, highly-sought boy model and
one I've always coveted! Especially
fine, large example with phenomenal
modelling, molded blonde, wavy hair with
bangs and exposed ears; individual strands
of hair are picked out and defined as comb
marks by the mold. Entrancing blue,
spiral-threaded paperweight eyes, black
eyeliner, finely-feathered brows,
beautiful bisque and colouring with
blushed cheeks, closed, slightly-pouty
mouth with darker separating line between
full lips. Sturdy newer muslin body with
bisque lower legs and painted black boots;
original bisque lower arms with
artistically-modelled hands. Costumed in
antique gold knee breeches with pom-pom
closure at knees, cotton shirt with
lace-trimmed collar and puffed sleeves,
and black felt vest with red
piping, ornamented with a tiny silk
American flag stickpin. A fabulous
Victorian boy with wonderful presence,
beautifully-dressed and collection-ready!

child marked "M 1/2 Made in
Germany 16 1/2", this doll
evinces the finest quality with
flawless, peaches-&-cream bisque,
large blue sleep eyes with
lavishly-ptd. upper & lower
lashes, molded & feathered brows,
o/m with upper teeth, & exquisite
sharp modelling showing a
beautifully-sculpted face &
prominent chin dimple. Long,
light brunette French human hair
wig with bangs & flowing waves.
Orig. jtd. comp. body in the orig.
finish with only some minor,
typical touch-up to joints.
Exceptional costume comprises antq. chemise
& additional petticoat, antq.
socks & antq. children's white
leather lace-up shoes, topped by a
very appealing antq. peach wool
two-pc. dress c. 1890s (some
mothing) that enhances her lovely
colouring. The dress consists of
a scoopneck peach wool dress with
short puffed sleeves & black
velvet trim, topped by a matching
waist-length jacket with puffed,
long sleeves & fitted bodice of
peach wool with a wide band
of fine, cream cotton that
enhances the peach ensemble very
fashionably. Vertical
pleats & black velvet bands trim
the bodice & cuffs to give the
costume a smart, tailored
appearance. Complementing
her Victorian costume is a
gorgeous black velvet bonnet
profusely decorated with multi-coloured
striped silk ribbon enhanced with
several light blue & black ostrich
feathers. An outstanding doll
